Growing Boy!

Mr. Ry Man is getting so big! He is going to be 1 soon (Eeek!) And I have yet to blog about his last couple months. Ugh. There is so much that should have been documented! But with Christmas coming up, and his birthday I have to get this done now and hope I remember some stuff. lol At least get some pics up right?! So Ryler kinda hit a turning point in his life when he hit 10 months. He weened himself from nursing (Yay!) Just decided one day he didn't want me anymore and started pushing me away. After a couple days of that I stopped trying. He had been refusing a bottle since he was a few weeks old but once he forgot about nursing (and with me trying a bottle regularly) He finally caught on (5 days later) lol Now he loves his bottle! And I love him taking it :) Within a week or two he was signing the word "milk" and still loves that sign. He also knows "all done", "food", and he waves. He says Mamma and Dadda and throws in a Pappa sometimes. They day he turned 10 months old he started crawling. lol FINALLY. He just decided to do it and has been very happy and independent since. He loves crawling off on his own to explore and loves to tag along with Brother. He will also come find me instead of just yelling for me to come to him lol. Around 10 months he also started refusing any baby foods. The only thing "baby" that he will take currently are the yogurt bites. Other than that its big people food and HE.LOVES.IT. He eats more than Tray by far and sometimes out eats me lol And don't let that kid go hungry for even a couple minutes.. He will let you know about it! He has his own little attitude and is quite sassy sometimes. He LOVES bath time. I get a very excited little crawler ready to climb in the tub himself as soon as he hears that water turn on. He puts himself to bed and sleeps 12 hours. Love that. He is now walking along furniture, standing up on everything, and using his little walker toy. He is a little Daddy's boy for sure. Darren puts him to bed most nights cause that's what makes Ry happy. Ry gets up when he hears Daddy get up in the morning and waits not so patiently for Darren to finish his breakfast (Cream o Wheat) so that he may eat the left overs. When Darren walks in the door Ry crawls right to him and will not be distracted till he gets his Daddy loves. I think its adorable. He loves playing with Velcro, loves playing on my phone, he loves taking anything apart or emptying anything out.. and will occasionally put things back in lol He loves playing with my hair, and playing peek a boo. He thinks the is just the most clever guy around when he puts that blanket over his head lol I love those little giggles! Ryler has 4 teeth currently. He weighs 18 lbs and is 27 inches long. He is in the 5th percentile for his weight and 10th for his height. The weight, tho odd when considering how much that kid puts away, seems normal. Tray has always been skinny. But the height? lol He is my adorable shorty. I love this kid soo much. On mornings he doesn't wake up when daddy does and I get to back to bed for a little bit, I will wake up to the sound of him playing in his crib. When I go in his room he stands up and gives me the biggest grin, some very happy squeals and a giant hug... ah! I LOVE it!! Seriously love him!! He is so fun all the time. He really is such a happy baby. I get comments on him constantly about how chill he is and just so sweet. Tray loves playing with him and of course taking toys from him (urg!) But I love watching them grow and play together. I love seeing Tray trying to teach Ryler things. Brothers are seriously so much fun. I am one lucky Mamma. I love my boys soo much!!! Alright enough mush... Here's some pics of my Cuties!

Ryler in his ADORABLE hat from Aunt Ra Ra. SO CUTE!

Ryler's first cookie. He loved it of course.

Ryler got a Turle toy from a friend and he just loves it. I just love that grin!

Cute boy!!

Loves playing with Brother. We built a play house under our kitchen table. They boys had a blast.

This kid LOVES his food. :)

Another cute smile from a cute boy with a CUTE hair cut! He looks sooo grown up!

I love them playing together. It makes me so happy.

Tray at Great Grandpa Collins house. We got to visit my Grandpa last weekend. I have pictures of myself at his age playing on the same blue carpet with the same bucket of toys. I love it.

Poor T-man received his first goose egg today. OUCH! He tripped on a toy and dove head first into the door jam. He was a trooper about it tho. A few tears and a Scooby Doo band aid later and he was running around again. :(

Happy Boo-Day!

On Halloween my not so little man turned 3! Tray is such an awesome kid and such a wonderful addition to our family. I could not imagine my life or our home with out him.

A few things about the T man.
He is a clown and loves to make us laugh. Especially with his killer dance moves! lol
He LOVES to dance and honestly can't help himself when he hears music on. Trunk or treating too a little bit longer than it should have since Tray had to stop and dance at all the cars that were playing music. lol People loved it though.
He is very smart and learns so fast.
His favorite color is blue.
His favorite food is cheese and "teeya" (tortilla)
Favorite drinks are apple juice and chocolate milk.
He still loves cars and trucks and planes and trains. All the good boy stuff. Though he is really into Scooby doo and Woody these days.
He has a wonderful imagination and loves to pretend and act things out. He has imaginary friends here to play sometimes too.
He loves his friends. He begs to play with them at least once a day lol
He is becoming quite the daddy's boy and has to have his "daddy snuggles"
He LOOOVES to talk. If you have ever spent any amount of time with him you can attest to that. lol The trick is getting him to stop.... I love it though.
He says the funniest things sometimes. I really need to start writing them down. A couple examples... He got a bloody nose the other day (not uncommon. They happen a lot) I was having a hard time getting it to stop so I wadded up a little bit of tissue and stuck it up his nose. He started bawling. When I asked him what was wrong he said "I don't want it in my nose! I don't want to be like daddy!" lol That is what Darren does when he gets bloody noses. Or another time after returning home from some friends house Darren asked Tray "How come you liked playing with those girls so much?" Tray's reply was "Cause boys take my toys" When someone tells him thank you his reply is "No problem!" He always has something to say and a story to tell.
Tray is in a couple play groups and a preschool group and loves being in them.

He is such a big boy now. Though it is just the beginning. He has some big changes coming up this next year. Preschool, sun beams... I am so excited for him.

We love you sooo much Tray! Thank you for letting us be your parents and for being such a wonderful big brother and added so much joy and laughter to our lives. Happy Birthday Big Boy!!

My big 3 year old! He's definitely got style!

"Scooby Dooooo!!"

Tray got many wonderful gifts from his friends. Thank you all so much! From Mom and Dad he got a Woody Doll and Woody boots. He LOOVES them! All that first day he kept saying "Woody is my best friend!" :) Woody goes everywhere with us and sleeps with Tray at night.

Mr. Attitude! lol Tray at his party. He has such a fun party! We are very blessed with wonderful friends. I will post another time on Halloween and his party.

BIG boy!

This week my Little man got a BIG boy hair cut! He looks so much older! It is breaking my heart. lol But it really did need done. His hair was a little out of control.

BEFORE..

Yes it really was this crazy looking. All the time.

I miss that fluff ball :)

Cute boy!

DURING...

Ryler was a big boy and did very well during his hair cut.

And AFTER...

Look at that good looking hair cut :)

The camera Loves you!

So HANDSOME!!

Ry is 9 month old now ( a little late in posting I know)
He has his own way of getting around. He still refuses to crawl on his knees. He uses his hands the normal way then puts on foot on the ground and scoots himself on his bum. What a dork. lol
He loves to climb on things and pull himself up on everything.
He is hungry ALL THE TIME! I don't know how I am going to feed this kid! lol He eats every hour. Not kidding. And gets onery if he has to stay hungry for any amount of time.
His favorite food is Lemon Yogurt. Random I know. He just goes nuts when he sees me pull it out of the fridge. He also likes pretzels, crackers, bread, tortillas, cheerios, and of course all of his normal baby fruits. I can now put baby cereal in with his fruit to give it a little more substance and he will eat it. He just loves food.
You would think with all that eating he would just be a fatty but he is only 16.14 lbs. He was 18 lbs at the beginning of the summer then got sick and lost some weight and I just can't get him back up. Even though he eats like a cow he is now Tray skinny. In the 10th percentile.
He says Mama and is actually referring to me now. Darren tries to get him to say dada or papa but it hasn't happened yet.
He loves to dance just like Tray. He bobs up and down and waves his arms to the music.
He is an awesome sleeper. Usually from 8pm to 8:30am. Which we just love.
He hates hats and refuses to wear one. I have been able to get him to keep his hoods on so that helps against the wind.
He still only has 2 teeth.
Still loves bath time and gets really excited when he hears the water turn on to fill up the tub.
He has started hitting which I don't love. He mostly hits Darren. Usually when I am holding him and he thinks someone is going to take him away from me. He starts slapping at them. Little stinker.
His favorite toys are balls and his Dinosaur ball toy. He also loves rolling trucks back and forth.
He loves to pull my hair. Always in sets of the 3 lol Yank Yank Yank. He has recently started pulling his own hair too.
He gives very wet slobbery kisses and super awesome bear hugs. I love it!

Chowin down some bread.

Some waffle fries from Dickies... YUM!

Hanging out with Daddy

Just chillin in his diaper

Playing with his Dino.

Every Mom's Dream

When you are the Mother of a Toddler you have one very specific Dream. I know you other Mamas can relate. That dream is..

TO BE DONE WITH DIAPERS!!!

I can happily say that last month that dream came true for me. Right around my birthday. What a sweet boy huh?
Happy Birthday to Mommy!

This is one of my ALL TIME favorite pictures. I love it so much!
(Isn't that bum just the CUTEST ever??)
Tray has been doing soo awesome. We are so proud of him and sooo happy to only have to be buying diapers for 1 little guy now.

Great Job Tray!!

Slacker!

I have been such a major blog slacker lately! Our lives have been so crazy busy lately I am having a hard time finding time. Seriously. But summer is over now (SUPER sad face) So maybe things will start slowing down a little. Maybe. This summer has seriously been awesome. We have been able to do so much, it has been so much fun.

Ryler is now 8 months old. He is so big. I know I say that every time, and every month it'll be true again. He just keeps growing and growing.

Ryler now has 2 teeth.
He LOOOVES pretzels. They are his favorite snack in the world.
He is still a major picky eater.
Still hates puffs. I don't know why I keep wasting my money lol (Gotta try every flavor, right?)
He is not crawling but wants to get around really bad. He ends up rolling back and forth across the room. I try explaining to him that crawling would be easier but he doesn't seem to care lol. He scoots and moves backwards.. He'll get it soon I'm sure.
He gives really sweet hugs when you first pick him up. I love it! It's like hugging fresh cookies :)
I had to get a bumbo tray cause he kept flipping out of his Bumbo. Scared me to death more than once. He is no longer allowed in his bumbo unsupervised.
He finally drinks out of a sippy cup.. sometimes.. when he really wants to. He's a stink.
He wants big people food so bad. He lunges at us whenever we have food. So I've tried giving him a few things, crackers, and what not. He seems to like just about everything. We were at my friend Erin's house for a play group last week and she had ordered pizza. I was holding him and eating mine and had no clue that he snatched someones crust off the plate next to me till ten minutes later I go to put him on the floor to play and he had eaten half and spread the other half all over his clothes. He seemed to really enjoy it too. (Great Mom, huh?)
He loves playing on my phone. Not just playing with it and tossing it around by he likes playing on it. Its a touch screen phone and he loves swiping across the screen to make the colors move. I also have a bubble popping game that he loves. I usually end up handing him my phone in the car cause he still HATES being in his seat. He'll hush right up and sit there popping bubbles. Its a new age for sure. My 8 month old can use my Android phone...
Baths are his favorite past time.
He is still in the super clingy mommy faze which is wearing on me lol
He loves Brother. Loves watching brother, loves playing with brother and doing everything brother does. I think its adorable.
He is now talking a ton. Yelling over people at times. I think its super cute :)
Love that butter ball!!

8 Months old! Wearing some big boy Jammies :)

Ryler loves being with Tray

For the most part Tray loves it too :)
I actually had Ryler in the front of the cart with me but Tray kept asking if Baby Ryler could come drive the car with him. Cute brothers.

A few weeks ago Ryler got pretty sick and had really high fevers for days. I finally took him to a local Dr. who told me "there is nothing wrong with your baby. Hes just teething." So I wasted my money there to say the least. I knew it wasn't just teething. He wouldn't eat or pee, was super cranky all the time, couldn't control his body temp and was sweating constantly, diarrhea, throwing up... he was very very sad as you can imagine. The morning after the Dr. visit we woke up and he had red spots all over his body. So I took him to the ER. LOVED that Dr. If I could take my kids to him all the time I totally would. Hmm.... ER well child check ups?? I might just have to. :) Turns out he had an ear infection, a virus, and was dehydrated. The poor guy. He got a shot and lots of gaterade and a few days later was fine thank goodness.

Relaxing after a rough day at the ER. No one likes getting shots :(

Hard to see in the pictures, but its a pic of the red spots that were all over Ry's body.

7 Months

Ryler turned 7 months old a little over a week ago and I'm finally getting the chance to update lol Life has been so fun and crazy the past couple months its hard to find time to do anything (such as clean my filthy house, and update my blog. Finding time to shower can even be tricky) But summer doesn't last long here in the great Wyo so we have been trying to take advantage of the little bit we have left. Hopefully one of these days I'll get enough time to post about all we've been able to do.

Ryler is in a completely new faze it seems. He has developed so much more personality and even some attitude lol He is still a really sweet chill guy.. but he's had no problem voicing his new opinions.

A few updates on Ryler baby...

Ryler loves to lunge and flop and roll toward things he wants. Usually landing on his face lol
He is starting to get some scooching down, but not crawling yet.
He could sit for an hour playing toys with Tray.
Tray has become his favorite person. Tray can make him laugh when no one can. If Ryler is crying Tray says "Its ok Ryler baby. Don't cry. I'm right here" lol its very cute.
Ryler does not like baby toys. He never really has. But lately he really won't play with them.
His favorite things to play with are Trays cars, garbage (wrappers, boxes, juice jugs, packages) and cooking supplies (spatulas, cups, bowls, spoons, measuring cups) I have gotten some funny looks when pulling out rubber spatulas and serving spoons out of my diaper bag for him to play with. :)
He has the most adorable laugh I have ever heard. I could listen to it all day!
He is insanely ticklish (always has been) but will now try really hard not to laugh, resulting in this growl sounding thing till he can't hold it in anymore and he busts up.
He cut his very first tooth this last week. The bottom center left one if that makes sense. Only 4 and a half months sooner than Tray. lol of COURSE my nursing baby gets the teeth... Nice right?
We are very suspicious that the other bottom center one will be coming in soon as well.
Along with teething has come some crankiness that is new to us with him.
He has become pretty clingy, crying when anyone he loves leaves the room lol
He is a very big Mamas boy right now and will give Darren all sorts of grief if I'm gone for a little bit, then beam up at me as soon as I walk back in the door. The stinker :)
He has become a Very picky eater. He wasn't bad when we first started solids. But now I will get spoonful of food and before he will open his mouth I have to put some on his lips which he will lick, THEN decide whether or not to open his mouth.
When he doesn't like something he REALLY doesn't like it. He is having a hard time with new textures especially. I tried a Gerber's Puff thing.. just a little piece. He projectile vomited to get it out of his mouth. Mushed up banana= Projectile vomit. Cheerio= Projectile vomit. Rice Cereal= Projectile vomit. Oatmeal= Projectile vomit. Green beans, peas, carrots, squash, sweet potato/corn= projectile vomit. And now even sweet potatoes will be hurled across the room. Up until a couple weeks ago those were his favorite.
But as soon as I offer him something he likes he gobbles it right down sometimes eating two full things. His number one favorite is pears. He also likes apples, bananas, peaches, and mangos. Stinker right?
Along with that attitude adjustment he absolutely refuses to get in his car seat or the bumbo if HE does not want to lol he was arch and kick and go stiff legged to where it would be impossible to get him in without hurting him.
He can stand to be in his car seat all of a few minutes now before crying and arching and getting mad. He throws such a fuss sometimes that he will be drenched with sweat and choking cause he's crying so hard. So I get worried, we pull over and pull him out of the chair and as soon as he's free he cracks a HUGE grin. I just know he's thinking "Ha ha Suckers!" lol

Despite his new little attitude I just love that butterball so much! He seriously brightens up our home. I just love him! And really... how can you get mad at this face....? :)
